As a technological partner, Sopra Steria works on various solutions. This means that you and your team will work on different projects. A project may include:

• Bringing a PoC using one or more AI models to an MVP with FastAPI and Python;
• Building an image recognition application;
• Working in a Behavior- and/or Test-driven development (BDD, TDD) Agile environment.
• Implementing data models that predict, for example, the number of travelers in public transport or the amount of wind or solar energy that needs to be stored.
• AI Research to improve NLP models and implementing these models in applications that help in searching documents.
• Building an application that helps specialists in collecting and analyzing data on security risks (Flask) or verifying the authenticity of documents (Django).
• The use of OpenShift is still under consideration;
• The CI/CD is a Jenkins pipeline and needs to be converted to Azure pipelines;
• Thinking along to define steps to run the application in a Kubernetes cluster (e.g., with Helm, Dockerfile, Podman);
• Selecting a new framework, such as FastAPI;
• Making the existing unit and integration tests meaningful;
• Making ideas discussable in the team to make progress.

Responsibilities

As a Medior Python Developer, you will:

• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience;
• Have experience with at least 2 frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI;
• Have experience with testing methodologies (unit, integration, acceptance tests) and can apply them;
• Have content knowledge and can apply cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or OpenShift;
• Have experience working in an agile scrum environment;
• Have experience working in accordance with DevOps principles;
• Can contribute in the field of software architecture and technical design;
• Like to work in a team;
• Have experience in sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues;
• Bring a positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude;
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent education;
• Hold a Dutch passport and reside in the Netherlands;
• Have at least B-2 level Dutch proficiency or it is your native language;

We Offer

• At Sopra Steria, we ensure that you can do your work with pleasure and in balance. Therefore, we offer an attractive and flexible package of employment conditions:
• A permanent contract and a salary between € 3,000 and max. € 4,200 (based on 40 hours per week). The exact classification depends on your experience;
• Holiday allowance of 8%;
• A generous mobility budget in the form of a lease arrangement of min. € 1,022 and max. € 1,209. With the choice of an electric lease car with NS Business Card or lease bike or an alternative travel arrangement of min. € 930 and max. € 1,113. Just what suits your travel style best;
• Profit sharing of 8% on target (or OTB amount when the MT scheme applies);
• 27 paid vacation days;
