Member of Technical Staff, Backend Engineering (Go, Kubernetes) - Portworx Enterprise

Location: Bangalore, India

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing cloud-native microservices and integrating new features to Portworx products
• Focusing on design, development, unit/functional testing, code reviews, documentation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
• Debugging product and performance issues in large-scale clusters using AI tooling
• Collaborating with peers and stakeholders to take solutions from initial design to production
• Taking full ownership of design and development activities by adapting to customer feedback and handling issues found in unit testing, system testing, and customer deployments
• Experimenting with new technologies to push the state-of-the-art and innovate new solutions

Requirements

• Education: BS in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and testing various Enterprise products components using Go
• Skills:
  • Good understanding of Microservices Architecture and Cloud Native platforms
  • Experience designing and implementing high-quality, testable, maintainable, optimal, production-grade microservices and promoting them to production environments hosted in the cloud
  • Designing and owning microservices to operate and scale in a distributed system architecture
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) from product management to customer beta partners in designing highly scalable and production-quality software
  • Proven design sensibility and willingness to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Expert debugging skills and ability to navigate through ambiguous problems at scale in public/private cloud environments
  • Capability to technically lead the team on the design, code efficiency, and functional quality
  • Solid CS background in data structures, algorithms, and software design

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience in KubeVirt, OpenShift, VMware APIs, and virtualization technologies
• Deep understanding of containerized workloads, virtual machine orchestration, and integration between cloud-native and traditional virtualization environments
• Knowledge and working experience in Kubernetes and Containers
• Prior experience in Kubernetes control Plane development
