Mid Business Analyst

About the Position

We are seeking a Mid Business Analyst with 3+ years of experience in banking or financial services to join our remote team in Portugal. You will be responsible for delivering financial interface solutions that support key reporting streams, including financial accounting, management accounting, liquidity reporting, and credit risk.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and design functional solutions for financial and reporting systems.
• Define operational and accounting schemes based on business needs and project objectives.
• Design data flows and ensure the required information is available for finance and reporting systems.
• Produce functional and technical specifications for implementation teams.
• Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
• Contribute to the evolution of chart of accounts when required.
• Define and support testing strategies to ensure solution quality.
• Execute accounting and reporting test phases.
• Provide post-implementation support to reporting users.

Requirements

Technical Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or a similar environment.
• Experience working as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar.
• Knowledge of banking products and/or capital markets products.
• Understanding of financial information systems.
• Experience with project coordination or project management activities.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of general accounting and/or banking accounting is highly valued.
• Experience creating functional specifications and supporting testing activities.

• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Languages

• Portuguese: Fluent
• English: Intermediate

Salary & Benefits

• Gross annual salary: €28,000–€31,000, depending on experience and suitability for the role.
• Meal allowance.
