About the Position

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Procurement IPT Focal to join our Spirit AeroSystems team in Wichita, Kansas. This role is integral to our Supply Chain Management team, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units.
Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Synchronization: Responsible for synchronizing the supply chain to obtain all metallic and non-metallic raw materials for the company. Ensure quality materials are delivered to the right place at the right time.
- Supplier Management: Acts as an authorized agent of the company, managing supplier-related activities, and committing company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Contract Management: Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post-award supplier activity.
- Inventory and Demand Management: Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning. Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce variability and arrive at optimal solutions.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the metallic or non-metallic raw materials, aerospace, or manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Project Management: Project Management experience and skills.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, process-oriented.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build and positively cultivate relationships and use influence to obtain desired outcomes.
Nice to Have
- Engineering Documents: Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings.
- Data Analysis: Excellent Data Analysis and Problem Solving skills.
- Financial Analysis: Financial analysis skills.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Knowledge or experience in manufacturing, manufacturing materials, and processes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. An MBA is a plus.
We Offer
- Competitive Salary: Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level 3): $73,050 - $112,000.
- Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems’ Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
