Mid-level Software Engineer (Node, Typescript, AWS)

About the Position

We are looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer (Node, Typescript, AWS) to join our dynamic team at Software Mind. As a key player, you'll help our client achieve their vision for the future by developing and maintaining software applications that support partners in advertising, retail, and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, architecture, data engineering, quality assurance, and IT groups.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in software applications.
• Keep up to date with the latest software development trends and technologies.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Work with the quality assurance team to ensure high-quality standards.
• Adhere to Agile software development processes.
• Continuously improve skills through training and professional development.
• Provide accurate status updates during daily standups.
• Participate in retrospective processes.
• Escalate blockers or issues to appropriate leadership.
• Participate in onboarding new employees.
• Establish and promote best practices and patterns, including automation.

Requirements

• +4 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
• Experience with software development tools like VSCode, Git, and Jira.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Terraform, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORMs.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an Agile environment.
• Experience with AWS is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
• Relevant AWS certifications are a plus.
