Middle Azure Data Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a Middle Azure Data Engineer to join our client’s team. You will be part of a dynamic and multicultural data engineering team, helping enterprise clients build robust, scalable, and modern data platforms in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python/PySpark
• Develop and optimize data lake and data warehouse solutions in Azure Synapse Analytics or related services
• Designing, building, and orchestrating complex data pipelines
• Developing notebooks, jobs, and clusters for big data processing
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are implemented across the solution

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering
• At least 2 years of experience with Databricks and Azure Data Factory
• Experience with SQL (T-SQL or Spark SQL) for data querying, transformation, and optimization
• Understanding of data modeling, data partitioning, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of data lake architecture, particularly with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2)
• Familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deploying data infrastructure (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform)
• Proficient in monitoring and debugging data workflows using Databricks logging, ADF monitoring, and Azure Monitor
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD for data pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics or SQL Pools for data warehousing and analytics workloads
• Fluent English B2+ level
