Middle Backend Developer (PHP)

About the Position

Akurateco is a cutting-edge white-label payment software provider with 15+ years of hands-on experience in the payment industry, bringing fully-brandable and easily customizable payment software to our customers.

We are looking for a Middle Backend Developer (PHP) to join our team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of commercial software development experience.
• Proven working experience with PHP 7.4+ (8.x is a strong plus).
• Practical experience with the Symfony framework.
• Deep understanding of core software development principles (OOP, Design Patterns, SOLID).
• Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs.
• Ability to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
• Intermediate (B1-B2) level of English.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating with external Payment Service Providers (PSPs).
• Familiarity with code quality tools (PHPMD, PHPCPD).
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain specific functional modules and services.
• Develop and implement integrations with external payment systems and third-party services.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, including unit tests.
• Actively participate in technical discussions, sprint planning, and team decision-making processes.
• Participate in refactoring and optimization of the existing codebase to improve performance and reliability.
