About the Position

Middle Business Analyst

Remote

Colombia

We are looking for a Middle Business Analyst to join a team building a scalable self-service data platform. In this role, you will work at the intersection of business, data, and technology, translating complex requirements into clear specifications and helping ensure reliable, high-quality data solutions that support decision-making and platform growth.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Create and maintain user stories, business rules, process flows, DFDs, and use cases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, and engineers to ensure requirements are clear and actionable.
  • Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including backlog refinement, story mapping, prioritization, and sprint planning.
  • Use SQL to analyze data, validate requirements, and support decision-making.
  • Understand system integrations and workflows to identify dependencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in business testing and solution validation to ensure quality delivery.
  • Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of self-service platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience creating business analysis documentation, including user stories, business rules, and process diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Experience working with Jira, SharePoint, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes, system integrations, and data flows.
  • Experience creating artifacts such as process flows, DFDs, and use cases.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, product managers, and engineers.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level or higher.
