About the Position

Middle Business Analyst

Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Ukraine

We are looking for a Middle Business Analyst to join Sombra and contribute to a long-term logistics project for a U.S.-based customer. In this role, you will help shape product requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure business needs are translated into clear, actionable solutions. The position is well suited for a Business Analyst who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, product teams, and UX specialists on large-scale product development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to gather, clarify, and refine business and product requirements
• Create detailed user stories and maintain the product backlog to support development priorities
• Facilitate refinement sessions and ensure requirements are clearly understood by the team
• Maintain day-to-day communication with team members throughout the development lifecycle
• Work closely with the UX Designer, define requirements, and align design activities with project goals
• Support the Project Manager in defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and planning activities
• Contribute to project scheduling and ongoing coordination efforts
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and other team collaboration activities
• Ensure the creation, maintenance, and consistency of functional project documentation

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in business analysis
• Experience working on large-scale projects
• Strong ability to gather, analyze, and document customer needs and translate them into clear and detailed user stories
• Practical experience managing and refining product backlogs
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience working within Agile teams
• Experience collaborating and communicating with international clients and stakeholders
• Experience working closely with UX designers to support user-centered product development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess challenges, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions
• Experience creating and maintaining functional documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Advanced spoken and written English
