About the Position

Middle DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our team in Ukraine, focusing on cloud deployment and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Development of scripts for the automation of configuration and deployment of cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and local infrastructures.
• Support of the team's infrastructure, solving configuration, infrastructure, and automation issues in various environments.
• Automation, writing scripts, and support of CI/CD using various tools.
• Configuration and support of monitoring and logging systems.
• Ensuring the security and protection of systems.
• Implementation of disaster recovery procedures.
• Deployment of updates and patches.
• Compliance with corporate security and regulatory policies and practices.

Requirements

• Experience in administering Linux/UNIX and Windows systems (practical experience is mandatory, at least 3 years).
• Confident understanding of web and related technologies.
• Experience in a DevOps/infrastructure development engineer position or similar (practical experience is mandatory, at least 2 years).
• Understanding of the principles and experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience in configuration management automation using Ansible or similar tools (Puppet, SaltStack, or Chef).
• Experience in deploying environments in AWS or Azure clouds (manually and using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates).
• Practical skills in automating code builds, deployments, and testing using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, or other CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience in database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL).
• Experience in writing scripts in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Ability to work with Git and understanding of Git workflows.
• Understanding of security principles.
• Fluency in English at an intermediate level (B1-B2) or higher is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Advanced experience in Python programming.
• Experience with artifact repository managers (Artifactory or others).
• Experience with software compilation, build, and deployment automation programs (Apache Maven, MSBuild, webpack, etc.).
• Practical experience with security verification and testing tools (SonarQube, Anchore, or others).
• Experience in deploying and managing microservices releases.
• Experience in detecting and resolving issues in various environments.
