About the Position
Middle General QA Engineer (Playwright)
We are seeking a General QA Engineer with 4+ years of commercial testing experience, hands-on Playwright experience, and conversational English to enhance the quality of an American social network for sports enthusiasts.
The Project
An American social network aimed at building communities around shared sports interests and hobbies (CrossFit, yoga, running, workout, etc.). It helps people find new friends and like-minded individuals in a new country through joint activities, overcoming language and cultural barriers.
In addition to contact matching and event management, the functionality includes:
- Hosting meetings with the further ability to share feedback, comment on others' posts, and access event media files
- Text and media posting, featuring a recommendation system driven by promotion algorithms
- In-app messenger
- Payment processing and insurance management.
The project has been active for over 4 years and has successfully launched on the app stores. There are currently over 600k unique users, and this number continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Manual testing of mobile and web applications
- Creation and maintenance of testing artifacts (test plans, checklists, test cases)
- Analysis of requirements for new functionality
- Covering the application with E2E tests using Playwright
- Active communication with the team and the client
Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial experience in testing web and mobile applications
- 1+ year of experience in test automation (E2E testing)
- Hands-on experience with Playwright
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of fundamental testing theory
- Skills in writing test documentation
- Confident use of browser DevTools (Network, Elements, etc.)
- Experience with Bug Tracking Systems (Jira, Asana)
- English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to Have
- Experience using AI agents in testing

- Frontend: React, Redux (Toolkit + RTK Query), Next.js, TypeScript, MUI
- Backend: Nest.js, Express, TypeORM, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Cloud: AWS CDK
- Real-time Communication: Socket.IO, Get Stream
- Others: Twilio
