About the Position

Middle Java AQA Engineer

We're seeking a Middle Java AQA Engineer to join our team in Ukraine, focusing on web application testing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for web applications, ensuring thorough coverage for functionality, usability, and edge cases.
• Document new features, enhancements, and issues in the Zephyr test management system.
• Conduct basic API testing using Postman and REST-assured.
• Assist with UI and end-to-end testing using Cypress.
• Use GIT for source control and collaborate with team members on version management.
• Support the integration of tests within Azure DevOps pipelines, ensuring successful build deployments.
• Test and verify front-end components developed in Angular.
• Manage testing environments and troubleshoot issues with Kubectl.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation
• Skills in working with CI tools: Azure DevOps
• Experience in working closely with the development team when performing testing activities
• Experience in creating test specifications and test cases according to the development requirements, maintaining them regularly updated as well as creating business cases according to development requirements
• Familiarity with Test Case Management
• Vast experience with Java language
• Accuracy in reporting issues, all steps to reproduce an issue behaviour
• Experience with White Box, Grey Box, and Black Box testing
• Familiarity in applying Decision Tables when dealing with complex business logic

Nice to Have

• Understanding of application flow/ business from an end-user perspective, the technical person (developer), and client point of view
• Experience in working with NoSQL DBs and SQL DBs
• Understanding of microservices
• Experience in working with a reporting system, BI, and data warehouse
• Familiar with Rest web services & API testing tools
• Understanding queues, synchronous and asynchronous calls
• Knowledge regarding APIs and knowing how to interpret/use them related to a REST API service
• Participating in all testing activities, including but not limited to building the test framework to test execution, gap analysis of the existing solutions, and extending those according to the project requirements
• Good knowledge of Agile practices and experience in SCRUM teams
