Middle Manual QA Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled Middle Manual QA Engineer to join a high-impact banking technology project in Ukraine. The client is a prominent financial enterprise expanding and enhancing its online client banking platforms and administrative management portals. You will be responsible for end-to-end functional and non-functional manual testing across API and UI layers.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and non-functional manual testing of Client-Banking web systems and Admin Portals.
• Analyze banking product specifications and business requirements.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on defects and manage bug prioritization.
• Create, maintain, and review test documentation (checklists, test cases, test suites).
• Execute modular, integration, system, and API testing across various SDLC stages.
• Collaborate actively with software developers, business analysts, and product owners.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming).

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Web and backend manual testing.
• Solid understanding of QA theory, methodologies, and SDLC models (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
• Proficiency with Postman for REST API testing (authentication, CRUD operations, response/DB validation).
• Practical experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience with proxy debugging tools (Charles, Fiddler).
• Experience using and managing Test Management Systems (TMS) such as Qase or TestRail.
