About the Position
We are seeking a talented and creative Middle Product Designer specializing in GIS software to join our dynamic team. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that empower our users to effectively interact with complex spatial data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and GIS experts, to translate user needs and business requirements into user-centered design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from concept to delivery, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Develop user personas, user flows, and journey maps to understand user needs and pain points.
- Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and concepts effectively.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve user experience.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in GIS software design and user experience design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer, preferably in the software industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and projects related to GIS software or data visualization.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Knowledge of UX research methodologies, including user interviews, usability testing, and persona development.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for GIS technology and a strong interest in solving complex spatial problems through design.
