Job description
About the Position
We are looking for a Middle QA Engineer (Manual + AI testing) for a new sub-product in healthtech at Uinno. This AI receptionist for medical clinics answers patient calls, schedules consultations, and responds to questions instead of a live administrator. The sub-product has recently launched, and you will be the first QA to dive into it and build test coverage with the support of the QA Lead.
About the Company
Uinno is a digital product agency that builds web, mobile, and AI solutions for clients from AU, US, EU, UK. We work with startups and help them build products that solve real business problems.
Our mission is to "Build software products we'd be proud to own." For us, this means honest solutions, a focus on quality, and long-term value. And quality is exactly what we are talking about 😉
Responsibilities

- Test AI responses in various call scenarios for relevance, factual accuracy, and consistency with expected behavior;
- Verify all processes around the call: data storage, SMS, task creation, call transfer to the receptionist;
- Conduct functional, UI/UX, API, interoperability, and change-based testing of the manager's interface and clinic settings;
- Prepare the test environment and test data;
- Create bug reports, test, and quality reports and provide recommendations for process improvement;
- Work closely with engineers, PM, and EM, and regularly share updates on progress and blockers.
Requirements
Must-have
- 2.5+ years in manual testing of web and mobile web;

- Understanding of how to evaluate LLM responses for relevance, factual accuracy, and consistency;
- Proficiency in test design techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary values, decision tables, pairwise, state transitions, use cases, E2E) and test strategies (data-driven, heuristics, classification tree, model-based, impact analysis). The key here is to understand when and what to apply;
- Experience in writing test documentation: test plan, test cases, test, and quality reports;
- API testing: confident work with REST, Postman, DevTools, Charles/Fiddler;
- Experience working in Agile teams with Jira and test management systems (on the QASphere project);
- Understanding of HTTP/1.1–3.0, WebSocket, client-server architecture, and the difference between monolith and microservices;
- English B2+ with a confident spoken part: testing by voice, daily, chats, and documentation in English, plus direct communication with the Australian part of the team.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in testing voice assistants or chatbots;
- Experience in testing other AI/ML systems (recommendation engines, etc.);
- Automation on Playwright (JS): there will be no automation at the start, but it is a plus in the future;
- Experience in performance testing (JMeter, K6, Locust, Grafana);
- Mobile testing: Android Studio, Xcode, BrowserStack/Sauce Labs;
- OWASP ZAP for security checks;
- Knowledge of SQL;
- Understanding of OSI/TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
We Offer
- Opportunity to influence processes, structure, and approaches in work;
- Competitive compensation in USD and regular reviews based on an individual development plan;
- Flexible schedule and the possibility of 100% remote or hybrid format (Zaporizhzhia/Lviv);
- Open management style and constant sharing of company strategy and plans;
- Transparent communication (1-1 meetings, feedback culture);
- 15 working days of vacation (growing to 30), 10 working days of sick leave without certificates, New Year holidays, and holidays;
- Corporate English courses;
- Compensation for sports, psychologist, as well as courses, seminars, and certifications;
- People-oriented culture, cool events (meetups, games, meetings, auctions, eco-activities, and much more).
About the Project
This is the second product of our client, and now it handles calls to the clinic. Each call is first received by AI: it tries to solve the patient's request or answer their questions. If it fails, the call is transferred to a live receptionist. And if the clinic is already closed, the patient will hear that they will be called back during business hours.
The product has two roles, and you will have to test both:
- Patient. Here, it is important that the AI responds correctly and behaves as expected in various flows. Also, everything that happens around the call: patient data storage, SMS sending, correct task creation after the conversation. And the most interesting part: you will have to test this by voice. You will be calling the AI and talking to it in English, just like a patient would.
- Practice Manager. Their interface, where all calls, their results, and related data are visible. From here, the manager makes further decisions, for example, confirms or cancels a consultation. A separate block is the settings for the specific needs of the clinic.
Recruitment Stages
- Intro-call with the recruiter (45 min);
- Technical interview with the QA Team Lead (+ several questions in English) (60–90 min);
- Feedback and offer 🤩
