Responsibilities
- Test internal web-based admin tools used by Customer Support teams.
- Validate customer and account workflows across Hume products.
- Test different customer states and scenarios to ensure that the correct actions are available to CS agents.
- Verify workflows involving approvals, automations, pauses, resumes, and other operational actions.
- Test integrations between the admin interface, backend APIs, and existing Hume systems.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and follow up on bugs and unexpected behavior.
- Perform regression testing when existing workflows or shared APIs are changed.
- Work closely with Backend and Frontend Engineers throughout feature development.
- Help verify that new internal tools correctly replace existing manual or Slack-based processes.
- Provide feedback on usability and potential issues from a CS-agent perspective.
- Support the team in maintaining stable and reliable internal tooling as the product evolves.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in software QA/testing.
- Strong understanding of web application testing.
- Experience testing backend/API-driven functionality and end-to-end workflows.
- Ability to understand business logic and verify that systems behave correctly across different scenarios and states.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
- Ability to reproduce issues and provide clear, actionable bug reports.
- Comfortable working with existing products, APIs, and interconnected systems.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work closely with Backend and Frontend Engineers and participate in the development process.
- Practical, hands-on approach to testing and problem-solving.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing internal tools, admin panels, or operational platforms.
- Experience testing workflows involving customer accounts, approvals, automations, or asynchronous processes.
- Experience testing applications that rely on shared APIs or multiple backend services.
- Experience working with Customer Support or other internal operational teams.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
