Middle/Strong Middle QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

About the Position

We are seeking a Middle/Strong Middle QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) to join Group107 for a specific client project. You will own QA for Summa - an AI-powered SaaS platform that automates up to 80% of accounting and tax tasks for firms in Israel, fully approved by the Israel Tax Authority. Combining manual and automated testing across complex web applications, you will safeguard the quality of a live, production product in active long-term development. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and the UI/UX team, and validate features built on machine learning, AI, and OCR workflows.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute test cases for web-based SaaS applications.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks (Playwright + TypeScript).
• Identify and report bugs, track resolutions, and verify fixes.
• Participate in AI-based feature testing and validation, including ML-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Contribute to product quality improvements and risk analysis.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in QA engineering, covering both manual and automation.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools - Playwright with TypeScript.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, browser dev tools, and debugging techniques.
• Experience testing AI-based features, with the ability to understand ML workflows (a plus).
• English B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Open-minded, with the ability to think outside the box.
• Committed and looking for long-term cooperation.
• Able to plan, estimate, and work independently on medium-complexity tasks.

Nice to Have

• FinTech experience - a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure and AWS).
• Experience testing products built on C# / ASP.NET Core and Angular.
• Exposure to Dockerized, multi-cloud deployments.
