Mobiel Software Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Mobile Software Engineer with 2-5 years experience in software development to join our technical team in Milano, Italy.

Responsibilities

• Analyse technical and functional requirements and translate them into reliable and scalable multiplatform software solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain multiplatform applications and software components in Kotlin.
• Contribute to the definition of software architecture, focusing on modularity, code reusability, and maintainability across different target platforms.
• Integrate applications and external devices through protocols and communication interfaces.
• Define and execute tests, perform debugging activities, and analyse results to ensure software quality, robustness, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and propose technical, architectural, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and technical stakeholders on integration, troubleshooting, and release activities of solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Informatica, Computertechniek, Elektronica or similar technical disciplines.
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Practical experience with the development of cross-platform applications with Kotlin.
• Knowledge of software design principles, modular architectures, and development methodologies focused on quality and code reuse.
• Experience with Git, code review, testing, and debugging tools.
• Experience with integration of Bluetooth, NFC, USB-C, and the MODBUS protocol is considered a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile development teams is considered a plus.
• Independence, analytical skills, precision, problem-solving ability, and teamwork.
• Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Availability for travel and relocation is considered a plus.
• Strong motivation to embrace the Employeneurship model of TMC.

We Offer

• A permanent employment contract and a gross annual salary (RAL) of at least € 34,000, in accordance with the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) Handel – Tertiair, Distributie en Diensten.
• A competitive compensation package that includes a share in project profits, an annual training and professional development budget of € 4,000 net, and an annual welfare credit.
