About The Mobile Developer Role and The Project

As a mobile developer you will join our special team, that develops the mobile application side of a cloud-based alarming and crisis management system. It is a smart event communication platform with support of different channel types. Whenever the worst case scenario occurs, it is important to be prepared and this project has been specifically developed for this purpose. According to a predefined set of rules, it provides information and sends alarms using all available communication channels, notifies users about specific events and informs about any required responses.

The mobile application connects mobile users with the alarm and crisis management platform. The portal transmits alarms quickly and securely to the actors concerned in accordance with a defined set of rules. The mobile app can trigger different alarms in case of emergency, by providing extra information like location data. It supports indoor location data (BLE beacon, WIFI access point, NFC) and outdoor location data (GPS). Beside of this, the mobile application is a certified lone-working application. By using the sensors of the device can detect if the lone-worker is in trouble (man down, fall detection, no-movement) and can trigger the proper alarm and notify the crisis center.

We are really proud that this project won the DEKRA Startup award in 2019 and the Software Outsourcing Project of the Year in 2020.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native, Android native (Java), and iOS (Objective C)
• Ensure the mobile applications are secure, scalable, and performant
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mobile solutions with the cloud-based alarming and crisis management system

Requirements

• React Native knowledge
• Android native (Java) and iOS (Objective C) proficiency
• Understanding and being familiar with the release process of the mobile applications

• GitLab CI and Fastlane knowledge
