Mobile Pentester (Junior)

About the Position

Devoteam Cyber Trust, a specialized cybersecurity unit of the Devoteam Group, is seeking a Junior Mobile Pentester to join our Offensive Security team. This role is based in Portugal and focuses on Android and iOS mobile security.

Responsibilities

• Execute security tests on Android and iOS mobile applications;
• Identify, explore, and validate vulnerabilities in mobile applications;
• Perform authentication, authorization, secure data storage, communication, and application protection mechanism tests;
• Support API assessments used by mobile applications;
• Prepare technical reports with evidence and mitigation recommendations;
• Contribute to the internal development of methodologies, tools, and automations;
• Stay updated on new attack techniques and best practices in Mobile Application Security.

Requirements

• Strong interest in Offensive Security and Mobile Security;
• Knowledge of Networking, Linux, and Windows;
• Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, and authentication protocols;
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 principles;
• Basic knowledge of applied cryptography;
• Programming basics (Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or JavaScript are valued);
• Analytical skills and a passion for technical research;
• Strong sense of ethics, responsibility, and confidentiality;
• Good communication skills in Portuguese and English.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge in OWASP Mobile Top 10, OWASP MASVS, and OWASP MSTG;
• Android Security and iOS Security expertise;
• Experience with Burp Suite, MobSF, Frida, Objection, JADX, APKTool, ADB, Ghidra, Git, and Docker;
• Participation in CTFs, Hack The Box, PortSwigger Academy, TryHackMe, or similar platforms;
• Personal projects related to offensive security;
• Basic Reverse Engineering knowledge;
• Experience in Android or iOS development;
• Cybersecurity certifications.
