Model-based software engineer for MEMS sensors

The Mobility Electronics (ME) division of Bosch covers a wide portfolio of micro-mechanical sensors (MEMS) which are essential to modern life - from applications in automotive safety and navigation to consumer devices like smartphones and hearables up to control systems in spacecrafts. Bosch sensors are everywhere. Our work is embedded in a highly dynamic, international setting involving close collaboration with in-house R&D and interfacing to world-renowned customers from the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Create Simulink based models describing the entire signal chain of a MEMS sensor.
• Implement and develop algorithms for testing and verifying model performance.
• Actively collaborate with internal customers and collect new requirements from them.
• Compile the verified models into performant low-level code.
• Collect inputs for new models from internal stakeholders.
• Provide maintenance and continuous support for existing models.
• Evaluate hardware measurement data required for model validation.
• Carry out peer reviews with members of your team.
• Develop a deep understanding of Bosch sensor signal chains.

Requirements

• Education: Mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, or similar disciplines.
• Experience:
  • Experience in MATLAB and Simulink is required.
  • Experience in digital signal processing and system theory is required.
  • Experience in OOP programming is required.
  • Knowledge in micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) is an advantage.
  • Experience with embedded software development is an advantage.
  • Experience with measurement technology is an advantage.
