What You Will Do
In today's data-driven world, the volume of digital information is growing exponentially. This presents companies with the challenge of effectively managing and utilizing these vast amounts of data. The increasing demand for advanced data platforms reflects the need to not only store data but also to prepare it quickly and efficiently for decision-making. The goal of this master's thesis is to investigate the structure of current data platforms in order to develop detailed improvement suggestions. To this end, a comprehensive analysis of various data platform architectures used in industry and academia will be conducted. Based on this analysis, specific challenges that exist in current implementations will be identified. The main part of the work is dedicated to the development of innovative approaches to optimize data management, security, and scalability. Finally, practice-oriented recommendations for the further development of data platforms will be formulated, aiming to increase efficiency and meet future technological requirements.

- You are a registered student (m/w/d) in the field of General Computer Science, Business Informatics, Media Informatics, Business Engineering, Product Engineering, Business Administration (or comparable)
- You are interested in technologies such as Apache Kafka, NiFi, and Flink. DataBricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery
