About the Position

Mold Maker / Mold Repair Apprentice

We are looking for a dedicated Mold Maker / Mold Repair Apprentice to join our team in Toano, VA. This role involves a 4-year apprenticeship program that includes on-the-job training and classroom time. You will be working under the guidance of experienced professionals and will have the opportunity to grow into the Journeyman position.

Responsibilities

The Mold Maker / Mold Repair Apprentice will:

• Repair parts including sanding, welding, grinding, cutting, and polishing as needed
• Use multiple air tools, hand tools, spray welders, CNC, lathes, and torches
• Inspect and measure parts after work is completed
• Deliver job change mold equipment and assist with job changes

Requirements

• Experience using specialized measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers
• Experience reading blueprints
• CNC programming skills
• Welding experience
• A desire to learn and grow into the Journeyman position

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-year technical degree in tool and die making or machine technology or equivalent years of direct work experience
• Previous experience with CNC machines is highly desired
• Must be able to pass the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test

Job Location

Location: Toano, United States

Shift: Monday – Friday / Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm and able to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
