About the Team

SumUp's Brand and Marketing Design team is behind the visual identity that reached over 4 million small businesses across 37 markets. Currently, the team is focused on rolling out this new identity across every channel, with motion being one of the main focuses. This includes animated templates, a proper motion language, and consistent brand guidelines. The new team member will support these efforts to ensure faster, higher-quality animated content across campaigns, products, and employer brands, and to create a scalable motion system as SumUp grows.

Responsibilities

• Create and adapt animated assets for campaigns, internal communications, events, and day-to-day requests
• Build and maintain a library of reusable animated templates across formats like social media, ads, and web
• Organize and tag motion assets in Canto for easy access and reuse by the wider team
• Keep the motion section of the Brand Standards Portal up to date as guidelines evolve
• Run lightweight quality checks on animated materials before they go live
• Contribute animated content for employer brand channels, including LinkedIn and social media

Requirements

• A degree in graphic design, visual communication, or motion design
• Hands-on experience with Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Working knowledge of Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator for collaborating with brand and product designers
• Strong grasp of motion design fundamentals, including timing, easing, pacing, typography, and composition
• Ability to switch between fast, reactive creative requests and longer-term projects like asset organization
• Genuine curiosity about brand strategy and a habit of asking why behind creative decisions, not just how
