Motion Designer (Impulse)

About the Position

Impulse is a brain training app that helps people keep their brains sharp with bite-sized fun games and logic puzzles. The app is trusted by users worldwide, with a 4.7 rating on the App Store, and has been featured as App of the Day in over 50 countries, including the UK, Canada, and Australia.

We are looking for a Motion Designer to join our team and create engaging 2D animated ad creatives that will be seen by hundreds of thousands of users daily.

Responsibilities

• Produce engaging 2D animated ad creatives based on briefs from the creative team.
• Collaborate closely with creative marketers, actively contributing to idea generation, discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
• Enhance creatives using animation, visual and sound effects, subtitles, and a variety of AI tools to maximize emotional impact.
• Continuously iterate on video creatives using performance metrics such as CTR, CPA, and hook rate to improve results.
• Research, test, and implement new tools and automation solutions to optimize production workflows and elevate creative quality.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of commercial experience creating 2D animated videos or handling video editing tasks.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in After Effects for motion design and animation work.
• Basic working knowledge of Illustrator, Figma, Premiere Pro.
• Practical experience using AI tools in daily work, such as ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Sora, NanoBanana, Freepik, or similar solutions.
• Solid understanding of animation and editing principles with the ability to combine visuals, motion, and sound into a competitive video product.
• English proficiency at B1+ level, sufficient for research and working with content.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to plan workload effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
• Readiness to take ownership, responsibility, and make a tangible impact on the product.
