Motor vehicle mechatronics technician (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

Diagnose defects and malfunctions in motor vehicles
Rectify identified issues
Use technical manuals and computer-assisted diagnostic equipment
Service and repair motor vehicles and their systems
Test vehicles to ensure compliance with road traffic regulations
Handle and advise internal and external customers

Requirements

Proficiency in automotive mechanics
Proficiency in automotive electronics (mechatronics)
Familiarity with technical manuals
Experience with computer-assisted diagnostic equipment

Training and Development

During your apprenticeship, which lasts a maximum of three and a half years, you are trained in the key areas of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, or systems and high-voltage technology, depending on your location. You will learn the assembly, disassembly, servicing, and maintenance of vehicles and their systems, focusing on mechatronic systems such as braking or steering systems, automatic transmissions, chassis systems, and engine management.
