About the Position

MuleSoft Developer

Join BMW TechWorks Romania and be part of the team redefining the future of motion, one product at a time. We are looking for a passionate MuleSoft Developer to join our Feature Team(s) and build the future of automotive customer relationship management (CRM) at a global automotive leader.

Responsibilities

• Develop features that are rolled out to markets worldwide using AI-assisted development powered by GitHub Copilot, state-of-the-art CI/CD pipelines, modern development frameworks, and cutting-edge development practices.
• Leverage AI-pair programming to accelerate development, enhance code quality, and deliver innovative CRM solutions that impact customers worldwide.
• Engage throughout the entire software development lifecycle - from initial analysis and technical design, through configuration and coding, to testing, implementing external integrations, and final production deployment across multiple markets.

Requirements

• University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in MuleSoft development with large-scale projects or complex setups.
• Proven experience designing and implementing integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API-led connectivity, RAML, and DataWeave transformations.
• Valid MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4) certification; additional certifications (e.g., Integration Architect) are a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of MuleSoft architecture, connectors, scopes, error handling strategies, and deployment models (CloudHub, Runtime Fabric).
• Experience developing and securing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth 2.0, and best practices in API governance.
• Proficiency in JSON, XML, CSV, and working with various data transformation and validation techniques.
• Familiarity with common enterprise integration patterns (EIPs), message queuing (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ), and backend systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, Git, Maven, and experience deploying Mule applications in automated environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
