Murex Back Office Support Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Murex Back Office Support Consultant to join our team in Mumbai, India. Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Murex Back Office modules and associated operational processes.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests related to Murex workflows and Back Office functionalities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to trade confirmations, settlements, payments, accounting events, and post-trade processing activities.
• Investigate and resolve STP (Straight Through Processing) exceptions, reconciliation breaks, and operational discrepancies.
• Support EOD and intraday batch processing, reporting activities, and interfaces between Murex and external systems such as SWIFT and accounting platforms.
• Participate in release management, testing, deployment activities, and post-implementation support.
• Create and maintain documentation for incident resolutions, known errors, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide off-hours support for critical production incidents when required.

Requirements

• Must have

  • 7+ years of experience in Murex application support, with strong expertise in Back Office modules within a production support environment.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, post-trade processing, settlements, and operational workflows across asset classes such as Commodities, Equities, and other OTC products.
  • Hands-on experience with Murex workflows, confirmations, settlements, payments, and accounting processes. Exposure to Datamart reporting and data analysis is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and batch scheduling/monitoring tools.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis in business-critical environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience interacting with business users, operations teams, and technology stakeholders.
