Murex Datamart Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Murex Datamart Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on data extraction and reporting. This role is part of the Global Markets Programme - Risk Project implementation using Murex v3. You will be working in a newly set-up technology center located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Datamart Development

  • Develop and maintain Murex Datamart reporting solutions
  • Configure and customize Datamart extractors and feeders
  • Design data models for reporting and analytics

• Data Extraction & Transformation

  • Extract and transform data from Murex to reporting layers
  • Develop complex SQL queries and scripts
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports

• Reporting & Analytics

  • Build reports for:
    • P&L and Product Control
    • Market Risk and exposure
    • Regulatory and business reporting
  • Support business users with reporting requirements

• Performance Optimization

  • Optimize Datamart jobs and SQL queries for performance
  • Troubleshoot data and performance issues

• Testing & Release Support

  • Participate in SIT/UAT cycles
  • Validate data accuracy and reporting outputs
  • Support release and deployment activities

• Production Support

  • Provide L2 support for Datamart issues
  • Troubleshoot:
    • Data discrepancies
    • Job failures
    • Reporting issues

Requirements

• Must have

  • 3-5 years of experience in Murex Datamart development
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Murex Datamart (mandatory)
    • SQL (Oracle / SQL Server)
  • Good understanding of:
    • Trade lifecycle (FO to BO)
    • Financial instruments (FX, IRD, Equities, etc.)
  • Experience in data extraction, transformation, and reporting
  • Basic knowledge of Java / Python (for scripting/automation)
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
