About the Position

We are seeking a Murex Senior Environment Manager to join our team and ensure the stability and performance of our Murex environment.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Ownership: Take full accountability for the Murex environment lifecycle, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance across all streams.
  • Strategic Solution Design: Proactively analyze environment bottlenecks; propose and drive the implementation of architectural improvements and automated solutions rather than just contributing to existing deliverables.
  • Decision Making & Governance: Act as the primary technical point of contact for environment-related decisions, defining standards for refreshes, monitoring, and health check protocols.
  • Mentorship & Peer Review: Lead and mentor junior/senior team members, providing guidance on complex troubleshooting and ensuring best practices in scripting and CICD pipelines.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Independently manage relationships with internal development teams and client stakeholders to negotiate timelines and prioritize enhancement requests.
  • Proactive Release Leadership: Drive the coordination of SIT/UAT release cycles, ensuring all environment dependencies are identified and mitigated well before execution.
  • Innovation & Trend Tracking: Continuously evaluate new Murex features and global industry practices (e.g., advanced DevOps/SRE) to incorporate them into the project’s technical roadmap.

Requirements

  • Must have

    • 6+ years hands-on experience in Murex Infra/Environment/Config Management, Scripting
    • 4+ years hands-on experience with CICD (e.g. Ansible), and GIT (proficiency)
    • Experience with Back-Office Workflows, Datamart, Market Data, Batch processing, End of Day flow(s), interfaces and Trade Life Cycle
    • Leadership: Proven experience in a technical lead or environment management lead capacity within a Murex ecosystem.
    • Accountability: Demonstrated ability to own high-pressure production support issues and drive them to resolution.
    • Must have strong personality, logical and analytical skills
    • Be detailed-oriented, a quick learner and self-starter
    • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
    • Must have strong organization skills
    • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
    • Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally
    • Strong experience in supporting end-users and resolving their daily issues
    • Working EST hours
  • Nice to have

    • BS or higher degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent
    • Implementations and upgrades: MXpress; MXplus updates and MX.3 main-branch upgrades
    • Interfaces (Market Data, C2.0)
    • Test management
    • Trade life cycle management
    • Market Data management
    • Knowledge in SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase) and Unix commands is a plus
