About the Position

We're seeking a Murex Senior Performance Analyst with 7+ years of Murex MX.3 experience to optimize platform performance in a high-availability trading environment. Join Luxoft, a top-tier Murex Alliance Partner, and contribute to our end-to-end project services across major asset classes and sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Performance Ownership

    • Continuously improve Murex MX.3 platform performance across multiple environments with a focus on PRE-PROD and PROD.
    • Act as the escalation point for complex performance and stability issues.
    • Ensure performance SLAs are met for intraday processing, risk calculations, and EOD/SOD cycles.
  • Advanced Performance Analysis & Optimization

    • Lead detailed analysis of pricing and risk calculation engines, market data ingestion performance, batch scheduling, workflows, and dependencies.
    • Perform advanced SQL and execution-plan analysis for large Murex datasets.
    • Optimize grid configuration, JVM tuning, memory allocation, and calculation distribution.
    • Drive permanent fixes for recurring performance issues.
  • EOD / Critical Batch Leadership

    • Own EOD performance strategy, ensuring predictability and scalability.
    • Reduce batch durations through architectural and configuration improvements.
    • Coordinate with business, infrastructure, and Murex functional teams during critical cycles.
    • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for missed SLAs or degraded EOD runs.
  • Performance Engineering & Testing

    • Define and execute performance testing strategies for Murex upgrades, new product onboarding, and significant configuration or infrastructure changes.
    • Establish baselines, benchmarks, and regression controls.
    • Validate scalability against forecasted business growth.
  • Capacity Planning & Architecture Influence

    • Lead capacity planning and load modeling for CPU, memory, storage, and grid utilization.
    • Provide data-driven recommendations for infrastructure scaling.
    • Influence Murex platform architecture decisions with a performance-first mindset.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Murex Expertise

    • 7+ years of Murex MX.3 experience, with deep performance focus.
    • Expert knowledge of Murex EOD/SOD architecture, risk and pricing calculation frameworks, workflows, schedulers, and batch dependency chains.
    • Familiarity with grid and calculation distribution models.
  • Technical Skills

    • Advanced SQL performance tuning (Oracle / Sybase / equivalent).
    • Strong Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting.
    • JVM tuning and troubleshooting experience.
    • Familiarity with monitoring and performance diagnostic tools.
    • Experience working with large market data volumes.
  • Soft Skills

    • Strong ownership mentality and accountability.
    • Excellent problem-solving and RCA skills.
    • Ability to operate calmly under pressure.
    • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills.

Nice to Have

  • Background in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Risk Technology.
  • Experience supporting global, 24x5 trading environments.
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid Murex deployments.
  • Murex Technical or Advanced certifications.
