About the Position

Kyivstar, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a Head of Energy Department with extensive experience in the energy sector and a strong management and technical background to join our team in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Responsibilities
- General management of the energy department, planning team activities, and monitoring the completion of assigned tasks;
- Consolidation, planning, and control of the budget for energy systems;
- Organization and control of the implementation of energy system development plans in accordance with network development plans;
- Ensuring the reliable and uninterrupted operation of energy equipment at company facilities;
- Participation in selecting energy equipment suppliers, forming technical requirements, and controlling supply;
- Implementing power supply systems for company facilities from alternative power sources;
- Ensuring the automation of electricity accounting using AСКОЕ;
- Analyzing the technical condition of power grids and energy equipment at company facilities, initiating measures to increase their reliability;
- Organizing and controlling the processes of supplying electrical energy in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Market of Electrical Energy" and other regulatory documents (connection, contracts, commercial accounting, settlements);
- Conducting selective audits of the quality of work on the development, technical operation, and maintenance of power systems;
- Representing the company's interests in interactions with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and energy supply companies;
- Initiating and ensuring the development and implementation of organizational and technical measures to optimize, improve the efficiency, and automate processes in the energy sector;
- Analyzing electricity costs and developing measures for their optimization and reduction;
- Controlling settlements for used electricity with relevant suppliers;
- Organizing the development and implementation of internal standards, methodologies, regulations, and other corporate documents that govern the development, operation, and reliability of energy systems.
Requirements
- Higher technical education (energy, electrical engineering, or related fields);
- Experience in the energy sector of at least 5 years, including in managerial positions;
- Experience in team management (from 10 people);
- Electrical safety qualification group V group;
- In-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework: PUE, PTEES, PBEES, Law of Ukraine "On the Market of Electrical Energy", Commercial Accounting Code, Distribution Systems Code, Retail Market Rules for Electrical Energy, Rules for the Operation of Electro-Protective Devices, and other regulatory acts;
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office;
- Possession of a category "B" driver's license (driving experience of at least 2 years);
- Willingness to work irregular hours and travel;
- Developed management and communication skills, negotiation skills.
