We are seeking a Dutch-speaking test analyst for writing test cases for a Flemish government project, focusing on identifying and resolving testing gaps.

Duration: 13 months

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Responsibilities

In the first phase:

• Manage testing debt by performing detailed analyses of the current test coverage of the system.
• Identify and document testing debt and gaps.
• Develop a plan to eliminate current testing debt and increase overall test coverage and efficiency.
• Perform static testing of functional requirements documents.
• Assess the testability of the system (services, batches, etc.) and initiate improvement processes if necessary.
• Identify, contact, and question stakeholders/three amigos for the various items under test.
• Collaborate with test automators to create an automated regression set.
• Expose, analyze, and interpret discrepancies between requirements, the system, and test cases.
• Formulate improvement proposals for functional analyses and the system.
• Report to management and clients on the progress of testing debt and unwanted behavior within the system.

In the second phase:

• Review analysis documents.
• Define test cases.
• Execute test cases and interpret test executions.
• Perform functional reviews of user stories.
• Review automated test cases.

Continuously:

• Coordinate the test environment to ensure the availability of material resources needed for the test project.
• Actively collaborate with the project manager, test coordinator, and/or management to ensure smooth communication regarding the integration of the test project into the global project and compliance with the company's quality strategy.
• Propose and defend the chosen test strategy.
• Prepare and manage test reports.
• Represent the "quality" values of the Test Competency Center within project teams.
• Coach developers on test automation.
• Coach analysts to ensure testability.
• Consult with the test competency center.

• Thorough knowledge of test methodologies, tasks, and processes. ISTQB foundation or advanced certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with test management tools, e.g., Testlink.
• Familiarity with issue and project management tools, e.g., Jira.
• Familiarity with content collaboration tools, e.g., Confluence.
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as SOAPui, RESTassured, JUnit, Spring boot test, PostMan.
• Basic knowledge of development practices and test paradigms such as continuous integration and TDD.
• Basic knowledge of UML / BPMN.
• Basic knowledge of Java.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Basic knowledge of git / svn.
• Good relational skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and French.
