Netwerk Engineer

About the Role

As a Netwerk Engineer at Claranet, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing advanced network infrastructures. You will work closely with colleagues and clients to develop custom solutions that meet the highest standards of performance, stability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and managing network solutions, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and WiFi infrastructures.
• Identifying and resolving network issues and outages.
• Proactively monitoring and maintaining equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Contributing to improving security standards and minimizing risks.
• Advising clients on the functionality and scalability of network systems.
• Automatically configuring and integrating network solutions using tools like Ansible.

Requirements

• A completed HBO education, preferably in ICT, network technology, electrical engineering, or similar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Netwerk Engineer in a similar role.
• Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, DNS, etc.).
• Experience with network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE4+, or similar accreditations.
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting is a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Possession of a driver's license B.
