Network Security and Firewall Engineer (f/m/x)

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced specialist to join the team responsible for global security infrastructure in the technology sector. In this role, you will support and maintain security components such as firewalls, WAF, and VPN, and collaborate with IT teams worldwide. Your tasks will also include monitoring the performance of security resources and ensuring their integrity. Responsibilities

• Maintaining and managing security infrastructure components such as firewalls, WAF, and VPN
• Monitoring and ensuring the health and performance of security resources
• Providing level 1 and 2 support for security-related incidents and requests
• Collaborating with the security engineering team to implement and enforce best practices
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
• Working closely with local and international IT teams to ensure operational synergy
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of security operational processes

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security
• Experience working with enterprise-class firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower) and VPN, WAF, and IPS/IDS technologies
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure security tools (Azure Firewall, NSG, Sentinel, Defender) and SIEM platforms
• Practical knowledge of computer networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN) and basic automation in Python, PowerShell, or via API
• Very good command of English - level B2/C1
• Willingness to undertake a week-long deployment trip to Switzerland and collaborate in an international environment
• Analytical thinking skills, effective communication, and teamwork in a dynamic environment
• Required to be located in Poland and fluent in Polish

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto PCNSE, CompTIA Security+ certifications
