Nextflow/CloudOps engineer

We are seeking a Nextflow/CloudOps engineer with expertise in CI/CD workflows, IaC frameworks, and microservice architecture for scientific data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Proficient with Nextflow pipelines, execution, maintenance, debugging
• Building CI/CD workflows with Jenkins or equivalent
• Using IaC frameworks (CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform)
• Building microservice-architecture solutions with a focus on scientific data analysis and management
• Integrating AWS services (EC2/RDS/S3/Batch/KMS/ECS etc.) into production workflows

Requirements

• SHOULD-HAVE (2+ years hands-on experience)
  • Previous experience with Epam-Cora deployment/support
  • Proficient with scripting languages: Python, Bash
  • Building production workflows using Java/Spring (preferred), Python or C#/.Net
  • Using Linux OS command line
  • Driving API (REST, GraphQL, etc.) driven, modular development of production workflows
  • Integration with 3rd party vendor platforms
  • Creating relational data models, ETL processing pipelines using PostgreSQL (preferred), Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL
• SOFT-SKILLS MUST
  • Strong collaborator, communicator
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experienced with making technical partnerships with research and business teams

Nice to Have

• 1+ years of experience with building resource intensive HPC analysis modules and/or data processing tasks
• Developing and deploying containerized applications (i.e., Docker, Singularity)
• Using containerization platform: Kubernetes/Helm
• Using end-to-end testing framework: Robot/Selenium
• Prior experience with non-relational database vendors (Elastic Search, etc.)
• Building, troubleshooting C, C++ libraries and dependencies on Linux (maven, make, etc.)
• Frontend development (any JS framework)
