Node.js Developer

About the Position

Manoris is looking for a strong Node.js Engineer who is ready to work on a complex product and contribute to technical decision-making. Manoris is a team of professionals helping companies around the world implement innovative digital solutions. We develop end-to-end IT solutions tailored to our clients’ unique business needs, including financial institutions, startups, e-commerce platforms, and companies across various industries, with a strong focus on security, compliance, scalability, and user experience. Our team consists of 50+ professionals, including a CTO, Engineering Manager, Team Leads, Tech Leads, Backend and Frontend Engineers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, Project Managers, UI/UX Designers, and a Technical Writer.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end feature development:

  • Analyze business requirements together with the Product Owner.
  • Conduct technical research (R&D / Investigation).
  • Design technical solutions.
  • Break down tasks into implementation steps.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Develop, maintain, and support new functionality.

• Maintenance and enhancement of existing services:

  • Performance optimization.
  • Refactoring.
  • Bug fixing.
  • Architecture evolution and implementation of new technical solutions.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Product Owner, QA Engineers, and other team members throughout the development process.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with NestJS.
• Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with ORM frameworks (TypeORM).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Proficiency in using Redis.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and HTTP service development.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of asynchronous service communication using message brokers, particularly RabbitMQ.
• Ability to independently analyze technical challenges, propose optimal solutions, and justify technical decisions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate team efforts and take ownership of results.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GCP, BigQuery, and Google Pub/Sub.
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of PHP for supporting legacy services.
• Experience in fintech and/or high-load systems.
• Knowledge of SSL/TLS, web cryptography, and web security.
