Node.js Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Node.js Engineer with 7+ years of experience to enhance the security and compliance of a cutting-edge AI-driven coaching platform. This platform empowers businesses to foster better communication, collaboration, and decision-making through conversational AI. The current priority is to address findings from a security audit and prepare the system for ISO 27001 certification, ensuring it meets the highest standards of data protection and operational resilience.

As part of this initiative, the engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing the platform’s backend architecture, strengthening its security posture, and helping to align cloud infrastructure with industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize backend solutions using Node.js with a focus on scalability and security.
• Address and remediate issues identified during a security audit.
• Collaborate with the team to align development practices with ISO 27001 standards.
• Enhance and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
• Perform security testing and validation for implemented solutions.
• Provide technical input and recommendations for continuous improvement of the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Node.js and TypeScript development.
• Experience with Flutter.
• Solid understanding of security best practices, including vulnerability mitigation and data protection.
• Experience working with AWS services, including deployment, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and methodologies, such as CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks, preferably ISO 27001.
• Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and authorization protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and implementing new technologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience conducting or responding to security audits.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar.
