About the Position
Cpl UK Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a specialist Level 2 rehabilitation hospital in London. The service supports men and women with enduring mental health needs, including individuals stepping down from secure services, acute hospitals, or prison settings.
Responsibilities
- Manage a specialist occupational therapy caseload
- Complete comprehensive occupational and functional assessments
- Develop and deliver individualized rehabilitation programmes
- Support service users with daily living and independent living skills
- Facilitate therapeutic activities and interventions
- Support community reintegration and vocational development
- Contribute to care plans, CPA reviews, risk assessments, and MDT meetings
- Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures
- Promote recovery and meaningful occupational engagement
Requirements
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience within mental health, rehabilitation, or complex care
- Strong understanding of recovery-focused occupational therapy
- Excellent clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
