About the Position
We're seeking an Office and People Operations Lead to help launch and support our client’s first Latin American office in Santiago, ensuring smooth operations and team support.
Responsibilities
- Support the setup and launch of the Santiago office, coordinating office logistics, vendor relationships, and workplace readiness ahead of the team's arrival.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring the workspace is well organized, functional, and supportive of the team as the hub grows.
- Coordinate local hiring processes in partnership with the global People and Data Ops teams, including scheduling interviews, organizing recruitment logistics, and supporting hiring workflows.
- Help organize and run talent assessment days and recruitment events as we scale hiring in Chile.
- Build and maintain relationships with local universities and graduate pipelines to support long-term talent sourcing.
- Support onboarding and employee experience for the Santiago team, acting as the local point of contact for workplace and people-related questions.
- Assist with local operational and regulatory setup, working with legal, finance, and external advisors to ensure the office is compliant and operational.
- Using your familiarity with local employment law, compliance, and operational requirements, ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Help maintain a strong team culture and a well-run workplace as the team expands.
Requirements
- Generalist operational experience: You've worked in roles spanning HR coordination, people operations, office management, or operations support.
- Organisational strength: You are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities across hiring, workplace operations, and administrative processes.
- Execution focus: You enjoy making things happen and ensuring plans translate into practical outcomes.
- Independence: You are comfortable operating with autonomy and taking ownership in a newly established office environment.
- Strong communication skills: You have intermediate/advanced English skills (need to be comfortable working in Spanish and English) and communicate proactively.
- Relationship building: You are able to build strong relationships with employees, candidates, vendors, and external partners.
- Adaptability: You are comfortable in a fast-growing company where priorities evolve and roles can expand as the organisation scales.
