About the Position
We are seeking an On-Site Project Manager to join our team in Bluffton, OH. This role is responsible for the project coordination of equipment installations at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and/or electrical/controls aptitude, an in-depth knowledge of prints and schematics, and advanced skills in metal cutting technology is a plus. This position may require periodic travel during machine installations (mostly domestic, some international) where you will interface with customers directly.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the realization of new projects
- Coordinating installation activities on equipment delivered from the GROB Group
- Direct and assist customers on the installation, start-up, and operation of equipment
- Set-up and track project budgets
- Provide offsite team leadership at customer sites
- Facilitate open issue closure and site acceptance tests
Requirements
- Associate’s degree preferred in Industrial/Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology, or relevant experience in the machine tool industry
- Understanding of drawings, schematics, and troubleshooting
- Previous CNC machining experience preferred
