Onboard Systems Engineer

About the Position

We are TAF Industries, a military-tech company that manufactures and develops military technologies ranging from FPV drones and loitering munitions to missiles and artificial intelligence systems for aerial reconnaissance. We are looking for an Onboard Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities

• System integration of onboard components (sensors, video systems, telemetry, autopilot)
• Designing and optimizing power systems, calculating power consumption, and implementing redundancy
• Field validation, logging, and hardware bug-fixing
• Integrating combat payloads (release systems, relays, repeaters) and synchronizing them with the FC
• Creating wiring diagrams, technical guides, and assembly instructions for production
• Providing technical support to production teams and mentoring junior engineers

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in UAV / robotics / embedded systems (including 2+ years in a middle/senior role)
• Hands-on experience integrating and configuring onboard systems for multirotors or fixed-wing platforms
• Assembled and configured full onboard stacks: FC, ESC, GPS, telemetry, VTX, RX, sensors, payload systems
• Understanding of power system architecture and redundancy: BEC, PDB, dual-power systems
• Experience diagnosing conflicts, power instability, interference, overheating - especially in field conditions
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, work with ArduPilot / PX4, and use tools such as Mission Planner and MAVExplorer
• English proficiency at B1–C1 for working with technical documentation, logs, and interfaces
