Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced OpenStack Engineer to manage and improve our internal cloud infrastructure, focusing on HA approach and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Support and evolution of the current internal cloud infrastructure with a focus on HA approach
  • Development and improvement of the list of PaaS, SaaS services provided by the internal cloud
  • Automate and improve current processes using an IaC approach to accelerate the deployment of new environments
  • Maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, and disaster recovery
  • Troubleshooting and resolving incidents related to the holding's internal cloud and storage infrastructure

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator/TechOps Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of maintaining and operating private clouds
  • Should have a good understanding of OpenStack implementation
  • Hands-on operational experience with OpenStack
  • Needs experience with DevOps within OpenStack
  • Strong knowledge of distributed object store systems (Ceph or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux architecture and systems implementation
  • Strong knowledge of IaC approach (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes management
  • Knowledge of Linux OS (RHEL family, Debian/Ubuntu)
  • Storage technologies (RAID, LVM, distributed storages)
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Knowledge of virtualization solutions (libvirt, KVM, quemu)
  • English: Upper-Intermediate

Nice to Have

  • Network certification like CCNA
  • Common Linux certification like RHCSA or LPIC-1,2
  • Storage certification like CL260
  • OpenStack certification like COA
