About the Position
OT Security Engineer (all genders)
meteocontrol GmbH, a leading developer of independent energy management systems dedicated to renewable energies, is seeking an OT Security Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in securing renewable energy systems with cutting-edge security solutions.
Responsibilities
As an OT Security Engineer, you will be involved in multiple customer projects at various stages:
- Implement integration plans for security solutions and support technical departments with implementation
- Support network segmentation and system hardening efforts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and OT-focused penetration testing
- Conduct threat and risk analyses, document, and continuously improve security measures
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and production teams
- Support the development of a security architecture for renewable energy plants
- Conduct customer and supplier discussions on security topics throughout all project phases
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Automation Engineering, or a related field
- Professional experience in OT / ICS security
- Good knowledge of common communication and network protocols, as well as the functionality and procedures of modern IT architectures
- Good knowledge of security technologies and concepts
- Good knowledge of relevant standards such as IEC 62443
- Experience with the creation of threat models and risk analyses
- Experience with security tools (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS)
- Hands-on mentality and structured working style
- Conceptual, analytical, and meticulous working style
- Goal orientation and independent work
- Fluent knowledge of English is mandatory
