About the Position

Outside Parts Salesperson at MHC Kenworth Des Moines, IA

MHC Kenworth, North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is seeking an experienced Outside Parts Salesperson to join our team in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will focus on maximizing sales of parts and labor services from assigned accounts in a designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and achieve maximum profitable sales volume of parts and labor services from assigned accounts.
• Analyze customer operations to ascertain future parts, service, and truck requirements.
• Oversee operations of assigned customers and advise them on inventory selection, control, service, new products, and services.
• Plan territory coverage, call upon key accounts regularly, and take orders.
• Introduce new products and promotions, reemphasize existing products and services, and provide necessary literature.
• Complete customer call sheets weekly, stating a summary of calls made.
• Control personal expenses within the approved budget and submit weekly expense reports.
• Promote all MHC product and service offerings, including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier, and Finance.
• Investigate and refer customer complaints to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Branch Manager.
• Assist counter personnel with orders, deliveries, returns, inventory, and other tasks as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• One year of automotive parts-related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience dealing with the public in a sales/service capacity.
• Computer skills preferred.
