About the Position

Hiscox is expanding its OutSystems capability through the OutSystems Centre of Excellence (CoE). This role combines hands-on engineering, solution architecture, and technical leadership, helping design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable applications using OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC).

Responsibilities

Lead solution architecture and application design using OutSystems ODC
Define technical standards, reusable patterns, and engineering best practices
Design integrations using REST APIs, event-driven patterns, and Azure services
Lead code reviews and architecture reviews
Support DevOps, CI/CD, and lifecycle management practices
Ensure security, resilience, scalability, and performance requirements are met
Mentor engineers and contribute to CoE assets and accelerators
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Platform Engineering, and delivery teams

Requirements

Strong experience with OutSystems (ODC preferred)
Strong software architecture and system integration experience
Experience with REST APIs and distributed systems
Azure knowledge including PaaS and serverless services
CI/CD and DevOps experience
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Nice to Have

OutSystems Professional or Expert Certification
Experience in regulated environments
Microservices and event-driven architecture experience
