Responsibilities

• Respond to customer parts or information requests quickly
• Develop business relationships with all customers
• Develop a game plan for prospecting a designated territory
• Communicate internally with the parts department and externally with customers
• Monitor the status of customer orders, advising in case of problems and notifying upon arrival
• Assist other Parts Department employees with the above tasks as necessary
• Organize and maintain customer accounts, including pricing and application materials

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, including an awareness of others & effective listening ability
• Customer appreciation, a desire to satisfy customers & the ability to instill customer confidence
• A commitment to customer satisfaction by addressing potential issues proactively
• Multi-tasking ability, especially in dealing with interruptions and quick acknowledgements

Nice to Have

• College degree
• Truck Parts Sales &/or Parts Counter experience
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive &/or truck mechanics
• Parts department experience, particularly in a truck dealership or truck aftermarket environment
• An ability to recognize opportunities for process & operational improvement
