Patient Access Representative - Days and 1 day during the weekend per month

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Assist patients, families, and visitors, including transport or arranging transportation as needed.
• Obtain and verify all required patient information for registration.
• Work positively with all levels of staff to complete job responsibilities.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical information.
• Keep offices and work areas orderly and properly stocked.
• Access department communications daily and make immediate changes to information collection procedures as needed.
• Act as a preceptor for new hires, providing necessary education.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or 2 years formal education or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) years' work experience in customer service, healthcare, or business-related field.

Additional Information

• Shift details: 30 hours per week - 6:30AM - 5pm any day of the week and requires one Saturday shift 7:30a-3p per month.
• Location: This position rotates between South Airport Lab, Munson Professional Building, and General Registration in the main lobby.
• Vaccination Requirements: Munson Healthcare requires all employees to be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella. Flu vaccination is required during the flu season in the year of hire and annually thereafter, or an approved medical or religious exemption is needed.
