Payment Product Manager (Fiat)

We are looking for a Payment Product Manager (Fiat) to join our team in Hong Kong or Singapore. This role will focus on the design and iteration of our global fiat payment platform, emphasizing backend capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Product Design and Iteration: Responsible for the product design and iteration of the company's payment middle platform, order system, and clearing module in Europe and Latin America.
• Product Development Roadmap: Drive the product development roadmap and execution for the global fiat payment platform.
• Lifecycle Management: Lead the design of the full lifecycle management system for orders, including creation, status transition, timeout handling, and reconciliation.
• Clearing System Design: Design the clearing system, including T+0/T+1 settlement schemes, multi-currency reconciliation rules, error handling, and fund verification.
• Integration Strategy: Recommend integration strategy for global payment channels, ensuring scalable and standardized integration frameworks.
• System Optimization: Build and optimize core system modules, including transaction lifecycle management, success rate optimization, latency reduction, and failure handling.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, risk, compliance, and finance teams to design robust systems for settlement, reconciliation, and fund flow management.
• Global Scalability: Drive platform-level improvements to support global scalability, including multi-region architecture, localization frameworks, and system abstraction.
• Metrics Monitoring: Define and monitor key system metrics, and drive continuous optimization through data and experimentation.
• Integration with Ecosystem: Collaborate with internal product teams to ensure seamless integration of payment capabilities across the ecosystem.
• Individual Contributor: Act as a strong individual contributor, proactively identifying system gaps and driving end-to-end execution in a complex environment.

Requirements

• Experience: 6–10+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or platform/infrastructure products.
• Payment Systems: Strong experience in payment systems such as payment orchestration, transaction platforms, or cashier/back-end payment systems.
• Payment Lifecycle: Deep understanding of the payment lifecycle, including routing, retries, success rate optimization, and failure handling.
• Backend System Design: Familiarity with backend system design and APIs; comfortable working closely with engineering teams on system architecture.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience using metrics to guide product decisions.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a global or multi-region environment.
• Independence: Strong ownership, structured thinking, and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Global Payment Methods: Experience with global payment methods and bank rails (e.g., ACH, SEPA, FPS, PIX, UPI) or large-scale PSP integrations.
• Settlement and Reconciliation: Understanding of settlement, reconciliation, ledger systems, or fund flow design.
• Settlement Models: Familiar with settlement models (gross/net), T+N clearing cycles, and foreign exchange processing logic.
• Transaction Platforms: Experience in transaction platforms, wallet systems, or payment infrastructure.
• Web3 / Crypto / Exchange Products: Exposure to Web3 / crypto / exchange products, or strong interest in the space.
• High-Throughput Backend Systems: Experience working on high-throughput, high-reliability backend systems.
