Job description

About the Position

Payments Partnership Manager

The role is focused primarily on managing and expanding relationships with existing payment partners, including PSPs, acquirers, APM providers, gateways, and payment infrastructure partners. Targeted sourcing of new partners will also be part of this role.

This is not a pure sales role, not a technical integration role, and not a payment analytics role. We are looking for a structured, assertive, business-side payments professional who can own partner communication, follow-ups, commercial coordination, documentation, and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing payment partners: PSPs, acquirers, APMs, gateways, and payment infrastructure providers.
  • Identify opportunities to expand cooperation with current partners: new geographies, payment methods, verticals, products, or improved terms.
  • Maintain a clear documentation and pipeline with statuses, contacts, commercial terms, next steps, risks, and follow-up dates.
  • Own partner follow-ups and ensure no active topic is lost.
  • Support commercial negotiations with partners, including pricing, fees, reserves, payout terms, settlement terms, SLA, onboarding timelines, and support obligations.
  • Perform initial commercial review of partner proposals and agreements.
  • Coordinate the business side of partnership and provide communication support to technical/product teams.
  • Work with CSM and Sales teams on partner-related requests, while helping validate business value and priority.
  • Run targeted sourcing of new payment partners from business case to launch.
  • Prepare structured weekly pipeline updates and escalate blockers, risks, or commercial issues when needed.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in payments, fintech, payment orchestration, merchant-side payment partnerships, payment operations, or payment business development.
  • Experience from the business side is strongly preferred: merchant, payment orchestrator, payment platform, or payment operations environment.
  • Understanding of PSPs, acquirers, APMs, gateways, and payment infrastructure.
  • Strong business English & Russian.
  • Strong negotiation and partner communication skills.
  • High operational discipline and ability to manage multiple parallel partner topics.
  • Ability to maintain structured trackers, partner registries, status updates, and documentation.
  • Assertive communication style: able to challenge partners, push for clear answers, and negotiate professionally.
  • Strong ownership: able to drive follow-ups, escalate risks, and keep progress visible without micromanagement.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with high-risk merchants or complex verticals.
  • Experience in payment orchestration.
  • Basic technical understanding of payment integrations.
  • Understanding of chargebacks, rolling reserves, payout delays, settlement, MCCs, and risk appetite.
  • Global payments exposure.

We Offer

  • We also accept applications from candidates outside Cyprus (remote agreement) & candidates who are willing to relocate to Cyprus.
  • EU-based employment contract.
  • Transparent performance reviews twice a year, with bonus opportunities and salary adjustments.
  • Private medical insurance for you and your family, a corporate mobile plan (unlimited in Cyprus with roaming included), and interest-free support for car purchases.
  • Provident Fund.
  • Mindfulness & well-being support, including psychological assistance with 50% coverage.
  • 50% coverage of school and kindergarten fees for your children.
  • Fully covered sports benefits, and also access to in-house electric scooters and bike rentals.
  • Investment in your growth: paid language courses and access to suited-for-you development programs, including conferences, training programs, and coaching to support your professional journey.
  • A culture of recognition: a peer reward program to celebrate your contributions.
  • A fully equipped office in Limassol, with everything you need for deep work and collaboration.
  • Free catering in the office and an in-house coffee bar with high-quality drinks and a health bar stocked with nutritious snacks.
  • A strong engineering culture: international teams, corporate events, team buildings, and hackathons-because great work happens in great communities.
